OUR STORY

I created Good Boys because I recognized the classic symptoms of anxiety in my dog! I saw he couldn’t eat, was hyperactive, and wouldn’t sleep. After trying out different methods to soothe him, I found CBD and decided to create treats to help other dogs feel better! Good Boys Treats is my vision for helping dogs feel better and making it easier for busy and working owners like myself!

FAQs

Yes, Cannabidiol is safe for your dog. CBD is a safe chemical compound that is extracted from the leaves, buds, and stalks of the hemp plant. Legal CBD contains less than 0.3% THC (Tetrahydrocannabinol) concentration. THC is a psychoactive compound that is found in the Cannabis Sativa (Hemp) plant and it is associated with the high feeling that marijuana consumers experience. Since the THC concentration in CBD is negligible, you don’t have to worry about your dog getting high after consuming legal CBD.

Our CBD treats contain no THC and will not make your fluffy buddies high.

Dogs, like humans and other animals, have an endocannabinoid system (ECS) that helps them benefit from CBD. Once ingested or consumed, CBD helps to provide relief for your dog by interacting with your dog’s endocannabinoid system. CBD also interacts with body receptors to help relieve pain, nausea, insomnia, and anxiety. For your pups, CBD may help to relieve nervousness, fear, pain associated with arthritis or cancer, seizures, aggression, and so on.

The recommended CBD starting dosage for a dog is 1 to 5 mg per 10 pounds of the dog’s weight. You can administer this dosage 2 to 3 times a day. You should know that the perfect dosage for your dog might vary depending on the situation. Typically, the effect of CBD kicks in about 30-60 minutes for oral consumption. You can experiment with the dosage by administering 3mg per 10 pounds of weight. If there’s no relief after an hour, slightly increase the dosage and watch your dog again.

Yes, it is and you should!

CBD was illegal in most states before the Farm Bill in 2018. The 2018 Farm bill legalized the production of CBD within the country. Today, CBD is legal at states level in the US as long as it does not contain more than 0.3% THC concentration. So no scares in using CBD treats for your beloved furry friends.

No! You cannot overdose your dog with full-spectrum CBD. Several studies indicate that CBD can be safely used on animals. However, administering too much CBD to your pup might make it temporarily lethargic, cause diarrhea, or dizziness. The perfect dosage depends heavily on the weight of your dog and the health issues it is experiencing. As a general rule, start with minimal dosage, watch for effects and increase the dosage for optimal results.

Anecdotal reports from many dog moms everywhere have indicated that CBD treats may help reduce inflammation in your dogs.

According to research conducted by Bio-organic and Medicinal Chemistry, CBD is popularly known for its anti-inflammatory properties. Another study indicates that CBD can be used as an effective way to relieve Osteoarthritis inflammation.
